People In Action is an independent, ‘not for profit’ organisation, registered as a charity and a company.

 

What we do...

 

We provide a range of social, leisure, educational, training and employment activities for people with learning difficulties and disabilities.

We work with men, women, young people, children and their families.

• Annual General Meeting (AGM) - 16th September

In Oxford Chambers Methodist Church

LS1 3AX, 7pm till 9pm

All members are invited to come and vote at our AGM and find out about what we have achieved over the past year.

Tea, coffee and biscuits provided.

• Silver Thread Short Story competition

To celebrate the 25th Anniversary of People In Action, we are running a Short Story Writing Competition.

The theme this year is silver, but the title you give your story is up to you!

First prize is £250 plus a year's free subscription to Writing Magazine and Writers' News. Entries cost £5.
