Friendship group for 18-25 year olds, meets fortnightly on Wednesday evenings in city-centre venues. Learners are supported to learn how to use city centre leisure facilities safely and to organise group activities.

LAZER Group

LAZER  is a short break service based on a variety of outdoor activities including: environmental awareness, bushcraft, go-karting, climbing & zip wire. The scheme is a partnership with the Youth Service and runs weekly on a Saturday.

 

 

 

 

Creative Fun

Creative Fun

Runs on Fridays, 6pm -8pm at the Kentmere Community Centre in Seacroft for young people aged 13 – 19, in partnership with Leeds City Council Youth Service. Formal, structured activities are mixed with a chance to “hang out” and chat with friends. Cooking, dance, sports, arts and drama are offered in the context of a group specialising in developing skills for safer relationships. Learning can be accredited through the Leeds Award.

Accredited learning (at entry level 3) in personal digital photography, run in partnership with Leeds City Libraries. 8 week programmes run on Friday mornings 10 -12.30 at intervals through the year. A  summer school runs during school holidays.

Active Actions

Accessible holiday sports activities. Three day programmes run during school holidays (two programmes in the summer break) giving young people a chance to take part in team sports as a way of encouraging cooperation and celebrating success.

 

 

 

 

Dramarama

Dramarama

Dramarama is a programme of accessible workshops for all aged 14 and above. The sessions cover drama games, improvisation, text-work, voice and movement. The aim of them is to develop acting skills whilst building confidence and team working skills, making friends and having fun.

 

 

Snooker Troopers

Professional pool and snooker coaching from our partners at Northern Snooker Centre. Two clubs, each running fortnightly, on Sunday mornings. 10 -11.30. Open to 16-25 year olds.

Let’s Join In

Activities for learners 16 – 25 with high support needs in possession of direct payments/individual budgets. The service supports groups of young people to participate in community activities with a view to creating sustainable friendship groups as a part of transition to adult life. Accreditation is available at entry and pre-entry levels to support personal progress.

Saturday Activity Group (SAG)

Run in partnership with Leeds City Council Youth Service at Domain youth centre in the city centre on Saturday afternoons 3pm -4.30pm. The group supports learners 16-25 to develop leisure interests and friendship skills in an informal atmosphere with music and performing arts as a focus.
