Calling All Employers

Many of our customers tell us that they would like a job but very few are lucky enough to get one. There are many reasons for this but one of them is that employers don’t know the advantages of hiring a person with learning disabilities.

These are:

  • Reliability: People with learning disabilities enjoy routines, are late to work less often and take fewer days sick than the average worker.
  • Retention: People with learning disabilities stay in jobs longer than the average worker.
  • Efficiency: People with learning disabilities make fewer mistakes than non-disabled workers when carrying out routine tasks and this saves money.
  • Popularity: Customers and staff think more highly of companies that hire disabled workers than they do of other companies.
  • Support: Many disabled people are entitled to support to help them to learn (or stay in) a job.
